Robotic Third Arm
A wearable third arm for human-robot collaboration
As an undergraduate research assistant in Guy Hoffman’s Human Robot Collaboration and Companionship Lab, I worked with PhD candidate Vighnesh Vatsal on a Robotic Third Arm. I conducted contextual analysis as a form of needfinding to determine use cases of the third arm in a construction context. Additionally, I assisted in using inertial measurement unit data from a user’s hand to facilitate intuitive motion of the robotic arm.
